I bought all the crime cats books at an event in Columbus. Wolfgang, the author, has done a great job! I'm 24, and I enjoyed reading them just as much as much younger kid would. I can't wait to read them to my nephew! I really enjoyed the 3rd book especially because of the mystical quality of the "crime." Catbob and Neil had less to do in this book, but it was still fantastic! Waiting on the next one, Wolfgang!
Follow along with Jonas, CatBob, and Neil Higgins take on their latest and most trying mystery yet, The Deadly Scarab. In this third installment of Crime Cats, Wolfgang Parker further develops his characters and introduces new ones and even a new superhero in competition with Chicken-Boy.
With The Deadly Scarab, Mr. Parker has further impressed me. His writing ability developing a great story is exceptional, especially with this, an even more complex plot line. It is again set in the Columbus, OH neighborhood of Clintonville. Cat lovers of all ages will enjoy it. All I can say is, thank you to the author and illustrator, Wolfgang Parker; and I can't wait to see what comes next.
From a 12 year old.....Awesome book. Huge mystery! Even at the end, when everything was solved, I was still befuddled. The book ended on a great cliffhanger! Make sure you read the first 2 books before this one, so you are familiar with the story. Great book for kids 8 and up. I love that the series is based in a real city and about real-life cats. I like the map at the beginning of the book. I met the author and he signed my books. He was great and answered my questions. I hope he writes another book soon!
